Medication Policy: Medication Bags must be handed over to staff at check in and will be given to the camp nurse at the ranch.  Each bag will be labelled with the campers name and wagon.

Lice Policy: A lice check will be performed by a designated staff member at check in. If lice is found the camper will not be allowed to get onto the bus. Camper will be asked to leave and get treated and will not be allowed on camp property. The camp may provide resources for treatment and an option for rescheduling the child’s camp experience to another week. However, there are no guarantees.

Bag Policy: All bags will undergo a bag check at check in.  Staff will wear gloves and will ask if there is anything sharp or objects that could cause harm.  Garbage bags do not need to be opened but will be squeezed and felt for any hard or sharp objects.  Once the check is complete, staff will load the bags on the bus.

Paraphernalia Policy: Meds, phones, cigarettes or any valuables are to be handed directly to nurse and will be locked in storage locker.

Illness/Covid Policy: Students displaying signs of illness or covid are encouraged to stay home from camp. Temperatures may be taken prior to getting on the bus or at arrival of camp.  Shiloh must adhere to any government issued protocols in place at the time of camp which may include masking, proof of vaccination or proof of negative covid test.

Cancellation Policy: With each application, there is a $50.00 processing fee which is non-refundable.

Dismissal: The Management at SYR reserves the right to dismiss a Camper who, in their opinion, is a hazard to the safety of others, or who appears to have rejected the guidelines of SYR. During the Camper’s stay, the legal guardian must be within 1 hour of SYR in case of emergency or dismissal.

Custody: The parents/guardians submitting this application must have legal custody over the Camper. Conditions of custody, if applicable, must be fully communicated in writing to SYR, including a photocopy of the section of any court order referring to visitation rights.

Liability: While every precaution shall be taken to ensure the good welfare and protection of the Camper, SYR, its staff members, employees, as well as facilities outside the SYR grounds, are hereby released from any and all liability in the event of any illness, accident or misfortune that may occur to the applicant Camper. Each Camper must be covered by Provincial Health or equivalent medical insurance.

Medical Treatment: In the event that a Camper requires special medication, x-ray, or treatment that is beyond the basic medical treatment given at SYR, the parents/guardians will be notified immediately and will be responsible for any additional expense for additional care or transportation. In case of surgical emergency, I hereby give my permission to the physician selected by the Executive Director to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for, and order injection, anesthesia, or surgery for my Camper named on this application.

Photo Release: I give permission for Shiloh Youth Ranch to use any photograph or video of my Camper for promotional materials.

Damage: As the parent/guardian I may be asked to reimburse SYR for any damage caused by my Camper.
